World Cup of Darts 2026: Preview and Outright Tips

The World Cup is here. The proper one! The 2026 World Cup of Darts takes place between Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th June, and DartsTips.com are back to give you some top tips ahead of the action!

England once again go in as favorites, hardly a surprise with the two best players in the world teaming up. But they’ve not had it all their own way in recent editions.

Northern Ireland took home the title last year with Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney helping to secure the trophy for the first time, while two-time winners Wales have always posed a threat. However, they are missing Gerwyn Price this time around.

Scroll on and take a look at some of the big contenders in Frankfurt, some early round games and where the value is when it comes to picking the 2026 World Cup of Darts outright winner.

World Cup of Darts 2026 Contenders

England

Team/Rankings: Luke Littler (1) & Luke Humphries (2)

Odds: 1.53

Why they can win: The best two players in the world. Simple as that.

Northern Ireland

Team/Rankings: Josh Rock (9) & Daryl Gurney (23)

Odds: 15.0

Why they can win: Reigning champions who made a formidable partnership last year, upsetting the odds to win at 20/1+

Scotland

Team/Rankings: Gary Anderson (6) & Cameron Menzies (26)

Odds: 15.0

Why they can win: Huge quality if Anderson’s composure can rub off on Menzies, who replaces Peter Wright in 2026.

The Netherlands

Team/Rankings: Gian van Veen (3) & Michael van Gerwen (4)

Odds: 7.0

Why they can win: The best of the rest. Only Quarter-Finalists last year, but the experienced MVG returns in place of Danny Noppert.

Belgium

Team/Rankings: Mike De Decker (19) & Dimitri Van den Bergh (25)

Odds: 26.0

Why they can win: A talented duo with top chemistry, proven by last year’s impressive run to the Semi-Finals.

Germany

Odds: 21.0

Why they can win: Boosted by the home crowd, they upset England last year before coming unstuck against the eventual champions in the last four.

2026 World Cup of Darts Tips

Group Winners Favourites ACCA @ 3.01 (10Bet)

Group A: Germany

Group B: Belgium

Group D: Republic of Ireland

Group E: Poland

There are a few more odds-on shots for bigger accumulators/multiples (and we’re not going to put you off) but these are what DartsTips.com considers the four safest with a decent return at just over 2/1.

Group Winner Bets

Australia to win Group G @ 2.0 (Betway)

Only narrow favourites in a tight group due to Simon Whitlock’s absence, Damon Heta’s quality (alongside Adam Leek) should be enough to get the better of USA and Canada.

Japan to win Group K @ 2.88 (10Bet)

Spain are the bookies’ tip to top Group K, but the charismatic Motomu Sakai and experienced Haruki Muramatsu have the talent to upset the odds. Japan bring the vibes and can get fans onside, so crowd momentum could swing this in favour of the Asian pairing.

Outright Winner Bets

Netherlands to win @ 7.0 (10Bet, Betway)

Belgium to win @ 26.0 E/W (Betway)

Will England win it? There’s a huge chance, obviously. But not at those odds.

The Netherlands pairing of Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen is hugely exciting, blending youth, experience and class. The odds discrepancy is massive and we’re happy to go Dutch.

Sticking with the Low Countries, our Each Way tip. Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh put on a show last year and have the talent to go one step further than last year’s semi-final.

At a best-priced 25/1, Belgium could be the nation to spring a relative shock.
